Podiatry Solutions

Podiatry Solutions is a Cockermouth, Dumfries, Glasgow and Kendal based podiatry service which helps individuals who are suffering from aches and pains that may be linked to their feet and the way they walk.

As an MSK (musculoskeletal) specialist, Margaret will take scans of her patients walking and, following an in-depth assessment, provide an appropriate care plan.

Problems presented at our clinic

Typical problems presented within the clinic include:

  • Achilles tendonitis/tendonopathy
  • Ankle sprains
  • Calcaneal (heel) spurs
  • Haglunds deformity/heel bumps
  • Lower back pain
  • Metatarsalgia
  • Mortons Neuroma
  • Painful bunions
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Severs Disease

Treatments tend to include:

  • Dry needling
  • Exercise regimes
  • Footwear advice
  • Kinesiology tape
  • Orthotic (medical insole) therapy. Orthotics prescribed by Podiatry Solutions tend to be thinner than a lot of other orthotics and also since they are made in accordance with some of the more recent research, can fit much easier into shoes etc

I have chronic insertional achilles tendonitis. Went to a few different businesses over the years but feel I have finally found someone who completely understands my problem. I got custom orthotics and felt the difference almost immediately. Mags immediately put me at ease and is so friendly. I can’t recommend this business enough!

MM - May 2019

Thank you so much for the advice! I managed to get myself some really good trainers. All well so far, I’ve just been breaking them in. Foot seems so much better as well. I’ve not felt it since I’ve been wearing the insoles!

ZB May 2021

Yes, my orthotics are still working well, except when I was on holiday and reverted to my "Jesus" sandals. After a week of wearing them I got a well painful inflamed joint on my big left toe. (where bunions would be) My good wife diagnosed gout due to the excess cheese and wine I was consuming (as if!) I think it was more to do with the sandals and no orthotics so reverted back to trainers and it all got better within a few days. So, orthotics really work!

AF - July 2017

Hi Mags Just to let you know, I am going great with my insoles. Have had them in 4 pairs of shoes now....even a pair of heels, which I have not been able to wear since Feb and no issues the next day with my feet or knee!
